Nice museum, includes an academic program for aspiring museum managers and curators. I saw some very well-presented student projects today.

This was my second time visiting this lovely museum. We were there to experience the Fleming College post graduate students displays( only till Friday). They were a fantastic addition to the museum. We spent a little over an hour. I highly recommend a visit here. Lots to keep small children interested as well. Free parking and donation to the museum!

A wonderful history tour flowing through the rooms. All about this town of Peterborough. An interesting interactive concept from dress up to making puppets in the puppets theatre like room. Kids can do a scavenger hunt while learning, a coloring station, puzzles, old wooden toys, etc. The staff are friendly, personable & very helpful. I plan on going back...

We stumbled across this little gem, and am very glad that we did! Staff were very friendly and helpful and I met the friendly dog too. I really enjoyed learning about the area and some science topics too. Great collections with clear descriptions about what you are looking at. Nice items in gift shop area. Entrance was based on a donation. Thank you for helping to make our visit pleasurable.

Modern, inclusive telling of Peterborough and area's history. Chronological walk-through with exhibits such as cabin and Victorian rooms.

Attended the museum on a PA day with my daughters. They have a great playground outside, a nice covered picnic area, and the museum proper has stations throughout with little activities for the kids. I was amazed by the view of the city from the grounds. Also, I was super surprised to see my family's name mentioned as some above average potato farmers back in the day in Marmora. It is a nice little museum of local history. As someone who moved to the community, it was great to learn about all the local history.

We enjoy every visit to this museum! Great layout with many activities for toddlers throughout the galleries (they are happy to play while the rest of us enjoy reading about the artifacts). The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and their educational programs are varied and fun for students of all ages. We love to do our Christmas shopping at their wonderful gift shop!
